Packing Meals for LovePacsNorth Texas Pioneers are always ready to do a service for the community that helps children. One of the favorite is helping with LovPacs. They provide food for children in need during the times when school is not in session. They donated 7,500 boxes of food during the 2022/2023 school year. NTP Club members packed 76 boxes this month. It’s a fun rewarding project which takes the members only a couple hours a month.

Plano Rotary Clubs Joint Holiday PartyThe five Plano Rotary Clubs celebrated the holidays together with great food, ugly sweaters an a coat drive for Plano Christmas Cops. It was a quick count that revealed a collection of 75-80 new coats for kids of all ages in Plano. This effort has become a tradition for Rotary Clubs in Plano. Plano Christmas Cops keeps a private list each year of kids they realize have no coats or coats they have outgrown. While visiting with families, they determine the needs and then sort coats and toys like the ones Rotary collected. The parents get to come pick up the goodies from Plano Christmas Cops so they are able to surprise their kids at Christmas. It is always a joy for old and new friends to gather together to catch up and reminisce about days gone by. |
